About three weeks ago my bad luck started off when one of the pills decided to go suicidal and jumped down the sink drain. I sat there for several minutes, not sure what the heck I am supposed to do. So I decided to go with taking the next days pill.
All was well for a few days until I went to a friends house for two nights. I took my pack with me, but the first night I forgot to take it that night, so I took it right when I woke up, then the second night came and I did the same thing again!
I got back on track for a few more days, until one night I was just so tired after work I went to sleep without taking a pill, so took to the the next night....
I thought no more could happen, but there was still the wonder about being a day ahead. I was off scheduel. Taking Friday's pill when it was Thursday. I'm a sunday starter, so it was throwing me off. I was going to be taking my first pink pill on a Saturday, again I wasn't sure what to do. My mom, told me just not to take a pill on Saturday, so that I would be back on track.
Alright, so four issues, three seperate types... I thought FOR SURE, that just with the mess ups alone, my period wasn't going to start because I hadn't had sex since before the late pills so that wasn't an issue. Though it did, but my cramps were a lot more agressive than they have been in a long time. I first started the pills last year because of the cramping, but just recently this year I've also needed it for protection. I know that if you miss an active pill you should use a back-up method for the next seven days. Well, I'm a complete idiot and my boyfriend and I just made up yesterday after a huge fight and failed to use a back-up. I've read somewhere that if you miss so many you should wait a month before relying on birthcontrol only.
I read the one thread about the precentages and such, but the failure rate goes up when not used "correctly". So with me missing four active pills (not in a row), is my failure rate even higher? Or should my pills still have not allowed an ovulation?
. I found that since I Brush my teeth every morning no matter where I am or who I am with, before I start the day around other people. ( There's nothing worse than Morning Breath and Taste ) .
