Missed 2 birth control pills - almost 2 week long period..don't know what to do..

    Hi everyone,
I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do because the doctor offices around me are closed until Monday and I thought it would have cleared up by now. But I've been on Loestrin 24 Fe for 6-7 years now. Last Saturday and Sunday (August 11th & 12th) I unexpectedly ended up staying at a friends house for those 2 days and didn't have my medication with me. So I missed taking those 2 pills, but then on that Monday I took the 2 missed pills plus the pill I would normally take and then since then I've taken the normal every day pill. On that Monday my period started (which I assume is cause of me missing 2 pills in a row) but it hasn't stopped since and it's been going on for almost 2 weeks. Does anyone know how much longer this is going to last? It's starting to get very frustrating and I have a wedding to go to next weekend and I would really like for it to be done long before then..
    Thanks..

Did you start your new pack on the day you were suppose to? Because after the first 2 pills from the new pack, my period always stops. That's what the pill does.

It hasn't been time for me to start a new pack yet. I still have one pill (todays) and then the 4 placebo pills to take. I was thinking I should skip the placebo pills since I'm already on my period and just start the new pack. Should I just start a new pack today instead of taking the one last pill?

So while you were taking the "active" pills from your pack, you got your period? If that is the case, contact your doctor. That shouldn't be happening.

Most pill instructions say if you miss one pill, you take two the following day (the pill you missed plus that days pill), but if you miss 2 pills you have to start a new pack. Taking the two you missed plus the current days pill doesn't work and has obviously thrown your hormones for a loop.

If it were me? I'd stop taking the pill until after my period stopped. Then I'd start a new pack and use extra protection for the next full cycle.
