Pills are prescribed by doc ? or one can choose what one wants..
Okay so I am going to be need some birth control pills soon. Wanted to know Do I just go and purchase a set myself or does the doc. examine and then put you on pills ? I am shifting so my doc. in my hometown can suggest me a pill and I should purchase and go , but I am not sure if I would get the same brand in London. What to do ? -
Hiya Buttercup.
I don't know what happens where you live on your side of the World, but I am pretty sure it would be the same.
Only a Doctor can prescribe and monitor the pill. Some people have side affects to certain types such as Yaz for instance. Some dosages are stronger than others, so they will ask questions regarding your menstral cycle, to gage what to try you on.
It's not always 100% the best, sometimes you have to go stronger, or weaker so hense why a Doctor prescribes.
Your Doctor will give you a prescription, here it's one for 4 months so that you have to go back to the Doctors again just to make sure it's all working well for you.
If you find you are having problems, stop taking them and go back and speak to the Doctor.
Here, you can get less expensive brands that have the same ingredients just not the high profile packaging that you Chemist/Pharmacy may ask if you would prefer to cheaper brand.
Hope that helps.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!
