Birth control that doesn't kill sex drive???

I have been on aviane for a year now and it has KILLED my sex drive. It also has reduced my period to just brown spotting for 1 day a month which I actually don't like.

Is there a type or brand of birth control I should try that would help me? I've been doing a lot of research and am very discouraged. Here is what I'm considering:

estrostrep FE: I've read that people recover their sex drive, but start loosing hair?!!?! has anyone had experience with this drug for a year or longer and can tell me about it?

Copper IUD: I pretty much ruled it out because I've read about many people bleeding uncontrollably and getting pregnant with it in.

I've though about going back to condoms/diaphragm but its so stressful to not have that security blanket of birth control and always worrying about pregnancy.

Anybody have this problem and find a solution? Any recommendations of birth control brands?

I really miss my sex drive, I'm 22 and have had no children.

    Hi,
After consulting a doctor, I started to take OCP abt 5 yrs ago.In the first yr, my sex drive went down. But then, I guess it recovered.I am still on the same pills, and I am very sexual nowadays.

Before considering any OCP, you should consult a doctor.

I am taking YASMIN since 15 days, it is killing my sex drive and causing me depression. I am thinking about quitting when i finish the pack. Any advice !

See my post in the other question posted on "birth control and sex drive.. "
To sum up, I think it has to do with the adrogenic activity in the pill you are taking, (in other words, the same thing that causes clearer skin may cause lower libido)
