is my sex drive gone forever?
ive been on loestin 24 for about a year and a half, and my sex drive is nonexistent. i really want it back, and i have read that some women NEVER get it back! i am scared to go off the pill because ive heard people have the most painful periods ever (though mine cant really get any worse lol), hair falling out, etc. but if i stay on it and it ruins my sex drive forever, it just isnt worth it. does anyone have any advice? is the fact that i havent been on the pill for a very long time a good sign that i could get my sex drive back? or should i kiss it goodbye now? lol -
Any method of birth control which makes you NOT want to have sex is a bit too effective in my opinion LOL. It sounds like the side effects are unjustifiable for you.
I would discuss switching BC pills with your doctor, worst case, if it's causing this much discomfort then surely using condoms would be easier until you've found an alternative?
I just did a Google search of reviews for Loestin 24 and only found one positive report and that was from someone who'd only been using it a week. Anxiety seemed to be the most consistent complaint among users alongside emotional upset like crying.
Good luck.No matter how objective we try to be, we all see through our own eyes... -
It takes some time for the body to adjust to new medication, but if the side effects are detrimental to your well being and sex drive you may want to discuss this with your doctor. There are many, many, many forms of BC for a reason. You may need to try another type of pill or alternate form of contraception.Comment
