Just need a little advice
Hey guys. I am currently on rigevidon contraceptive pill, I posted a little while ago about taking 3 packs in a row without a break, which isnt good I know. Well now tomorrow is the last day of my pill then its the 7 day break. Since yesterday my breasts have been so painful, I've not had this before a period, I've also been on and off antibiotics the past month, I've heard they can interfere with the pill? Surely theres no chance I'm pregnant, I take my pill every morning and never miss one. -
It is important to know what drugs interfere with BC. Most antibiotics do counteract the effectiveness of birth control. Many women have gotten pregnant while on BC and antibiotics. It is super important to use extra protection while on antibiotic and for the remainder of that cycle.
Chances are good, however, that you're just experiencing your body fighting back because of the hormonal rollercoaster you put it on by not taking your pills the way they were intended. If not having a period is what you are after, there are pills and methods of BC that are made to assist with that. But if you're taking a regular pack of BC and month after month you purposely skip your period, eventually it often catches up with you.
I would take a pregnancy test ASAP to rule out pregnancy. If you ARE pregnant, you do not want to be taking the pill as it could damage the fetus. If you're not pregnant, then you can have the peace of mind of knowing that and just suck it up through the hormonal "fight back" your body is giving you.
I hope you feel better soon.
