So I started taking orthro tricyclen lo the first day of my period. Then I went into my light blue pills. I had unprotected sex with my fiance during the light blue pills. I also took an antibiotic for 3 of those days. So throughout the blue pills we had sex. I missed a day but did not have sex that day. But the day after I was cramping as if I was going to start my period. But I took my pill that day (so I skipped one) but I was having a brownish to red color discharge. So wat could this mean? Could I be pregnant. Any advice would help.

Antibiotics can make birth control not work and what you are describing sounds like you had a very light period if you miss your period next month you should take a pregnancy test or you start feeling nauseous....

Thank u so much. I was Thinking its gas but LOL I've been feeling flutters in my tummy lol. I'm not due for a period for another two weeks or so. Should I keep taking my BC?

Yes you should because if you don't then you will probably skip your period and then you'll be even more worried and flutters might be gas(:

Could I be pregnant while on BC?

When starting the pill you can randomly start spotting. That is normal. I know with my bc pills if I miss a day I am supposed to take to the following day to catch up. I have been on bc for 8 yrs and I still use a back up method like condoms.

It took me 2 packs of pills before I was "regular" and I havent had problems since!

^^^lol thanks everyone. I'm still spotting. Stopped for a day I think but today it was there again. Reddish brown. Cramping. So I'm worried. Maybe I'm just over thinking. But I did have unprotected sex yesterday (2-26-13) so.....

If your period is already due and isn't acting as expected, take a cheap pregnancy test - even the least sensitive one should be effective by now. Try to find one with a = design and not a +. Antibiotics are notorious for making BC not work while you're taking them, and you shouldn't keep taking the BC if you're pregnant. You can find out for about $1 (plus tax) in the comfort of your bathroom and be taking your pills guilt-free and with a bit more knowledge on keeping yourself protected 15 minutes from now.

So im already 3 days into my period pills and still no period....please read my past posts and give advice. I have been having unprotected sex and taking my pills late :/ so....any advice will help. Thanks to all

Take a pregnancy test if you are Already past your period although, if your not taking your pills regularly that can make you skip periods as well..
