On depo. Should I be worried about pregnancy?
Hi I am 21 and been on depo for 3 years and only missed one shot. Which was in December of last year.. My last time I had sex was unprotected and was about 3 months ago... And I have been spotting brown blood from my vagina. I have taken at least 5 pregnancy tests and have all come up negative. I don't have any pregnancy symptoms either. Should I stop worrying???

I get it... it's really REALLY tough to rely soley on birth control.. but hun, look up the stats! Less than 1 out 100 women will get pregnant each year if they get the shot as directed (every 12 weeks)... you had one missed shot a LOOONG time ago, so you're WELL protected.
If it helps, I was on the depo for 10 years. I never used a back-up method and I NEVER got pregnant. That's 10 years worth of sex with only the shot protecting me, and no babies..
Try to ease your mind.. you're definitely NOT pregnant. How do you think you can help yourself relax so you're not fixated on being afraid of accidental pregnancy?Comment

Well I just got my depo today and it really eased my mind when I was able to talk to the nurse who gave me the depo
. Also thank you for all of your advice it really helped a lot. And hearing you have been on it for ten years or had and all of your success on the depo helped me a lot as well. So thank you very much
. Also to celebrate I went and bought a new bikini
