guy have questions about women birth control..

Hi. Sorry for posting in this section as a guy, as I feel kind of awkward.. So here are my questions.

    1. Why do women need to be on birth control for so long? I mean if a woman takes birth control for a period of time before sex, it "should" prevent pregnancy and the chances of sperm fusing with egg is much less. So after sex, why would it not be okay to stop the pill...? I never got that... And some girls take it for like 4 years or more.. why?!

    2. So let's say girl was on BC and had unprotected sex with guy A when they were in a relationship. Then the relationship ended. If new guy B has unprotected sex with girl off BC, who's baby will it be..?

    Thanks a lot!!

Ummm . . . I'm not sure if I'm following you. Generally, a woman runs a risk of getting pregnant during every monthly cycle unless she does something in that cycle to avoid pregnancy. So she has to use birth control every month that she is sexually active. And if she were to stop taking the pill at some point during that cycle, it would probably make her cycles irregular as well as increase the chances of pregnancy for that cycle.

As to your second question, Once the first relationship has ended and she has completed the last cycle she had while she was dating guy number one, then if they don't have sex anymore after that cycle, he isn't going to make her pregnant.

qwe, it is simple - pills are hormone based contraceptives, and it is just as the wooden fence - fence will be looking nice if you're painting it regularly, but if you don't - there will be some gaps after some time, because layer will be affected by erosion. The contraceptive pills are the same - they are effective when woman is using them regularly.

Second question - man's seamen can be alive for a three days. So if there girl does not take contraceptives and break up with A guy 1 day ago, and guy B had sex with her - there is a possibility that child is the A guy too. Therefore you should always use condom as it protects from sexually transmitted diseases too.

If you want some more information - PM me.

Birth control has to be taken every day to stop an egg being released or bleeding from happening. You can't just take 1 pill and have it cover the next week. They haven't invented that yet. It's only good for 24hrs and semen can hang around for days or an egg could be released in that time and the next time you have sex even if she takes pills for a few days before she could end up pregnant. Pills aren't even considered real effective until you are on your 2nd month and they aren't at the full effectiveness rating until you are finishing your 3rd month.

So long as the girl finishes the pack before stopping birth control there's no chance guy A could be the father. Now if she stops it the day after having sex with guy A there's a chance. A small one but a chance.
