if ur iud expells is it easier to feel the strings or harder??? i guess its supposed to be easy to find them..but how come i cant???

Hi kjersi.

When you first get an iud inserted, the strings are like fishing line, but they eventually soften and sometimes tuck themselves around your cervix which can make them hard to feel. If your iud becomes expelled, that means it has come out of your uterus, so you nolonger have it inside of your body...and if that happens, you won't feel any strings because it's not there anymore. I'm glad to read that you made that appointment. I hope it goes well and you'll be feeling better soon.
