Any birth control pills with no weight gain?

    Hey everyone,

I am so frustrated with myself.

I started taking the pill when I was twelve because I have anemia and von willebrand's disease, which were brought on by my horrible period which I started when I was ten. I have to take the pill to prevent me from having a period, because when I have my period the bleeding basically starts and never stops, and I get very sick. I am a very active teen, I am a state-ranked swimmer and I competitively ride horses. I eat very healthy because I don't like junk food. Anyways, the first month I started the pill I gained fifteen pounds with no change of diet. I was very upset, but decided that it would come off eventually based on my activity level and my eating habits. I am now 16, and I still have those fifteen pounds. Nothing has changed, apart from the fact that I am now home schooled so I can compete more in the equestrian and swimming world. So now I exercise even more, and I still cannot lose that weight. I have a very low self esteem, and hate myself every day for this weight.

I had to go off of the pill for a month to get some testing done that couldn't be done when I was on the pill. In that month I lost almost ten pounds, and I was so happy. Now I am back on the pill, and have gained it all back. My question is, is there any birth control pill (it has to be the pill for me), that has lower amounts of hormones that will not cause me to gain weight? I am so done with this mental battle I constantly have with myself over my body, and I just need some help.

    Thanks guys

Lower hormones does not mean lower chance of side effects. Sometimes the side effects are worse on lower dose pills or POPs. It really depends on the person. I actually gained 100 lbs here and there when off the pill or on a low dose pill. If I take really strong pills I don't gain weight. Each pill impacts each person differently so you can try different ones if you want but there's no guarantee what any of them will do.

I'm on Gederal and I've not had any weight gain.
I have a fast metabolism though and don't gain weight usually so it could be due to this.
However, with Gederal I have experienced depression, anxiety, and I cry at everything!
