Searching for the birth control that is right for me

Hi! My name is Ashley. This is my first time looking into birth control and I'm very overwhelmed by all the varieties. I'm interested in taking a pill or using another low maintenance method of birth control. But I have 2 main concerns: 1. I want to be sure to stop ovulation. 2. I want to avoid long term health problems, like bone loss. If anyone could give me some suggestions I would be so grateful!

You could try an 'IUD' but those are a little hard to get in properly, and they need to be cleaned...

Thanks for the suggestion Patti! I looked into IUD's, and I don't think they will be right for me. I'm thinking taking a pill will be better for me, because if I don't react well to the hormones I'll be able to stop taking them, as opposed to having to rely on doctors to insert and remove an IUD.

But I if you have any suggestions on pills that don't have severe side effects and stop ovulation, that would be great!

What about the Nuva Ring? It has hormones, you leave it in for a week and should stop ovulation...
