Life After Birth Control
I've been on tricyclen for about 6 years, 5 months ago I went off of it completely; after the first month of going off I missed my period which freaked me out so I went to see my nurse practitioner who said it was a normal thing after being on the pill for so long without taking a month off of it per year (my doctor never told me to take any breaks, only for my period), after 2 months I had a normal period, so I was thinking, "finally back to normal", but I wasn't; now everytime I go to the bathroom I have mentrual blood, but darker and a very light flow. It's been very frustrating dealing with this plus having slight abdominal pain, I'm hoping to see my doctor soon but I can't get in for another month, I just want to make sure this isn't a permanent thing and that I'll still be able to conceive later in life.
Any info or other experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Same Problem
I had the same problem coming off bcp. I was on it for a little over a year and about 5 months ago I quit completly. Since then I have had a period every 2 weeks and I am not ovulating. I am hoping to have a baby within the next year or so but the way im going I dont think it is going to be easy.
Hopefully both of us straighten out! Good luck!!
