    I have some questions..

    i've been going out with my boyfriend for a while now, and i havent told my mom that i want to go on birth control i turn 18 in a couple of months so i can go somewhere & get it myself right ? I hear birth control is the best thing ever it helps with your cramps and makes your period shorter and the obvious reason preventing pregancy .. if anyone has any reposnes i would appreciate it

    Birth control is a double-edged sword. It reacts well to some people, many people, actually, but others have a really hard time with it.
    If you haven't had a gynecologist check you out, you'll have to do that first. If you use your parents' insurance, they will see that you've been to the doctor. If you don't use their insurance, it can be very expensive.
    Try to find somewhere that bills on a sliding scale, like Planned Parenthood to avoid this.
    Plus, birth control can be very expensive. I think Yaz was supposed to be $50/month without insurance!
    So, just get all the facts before you go and put false hormones in your body. It can be great, but it can also mess you up badly.

      ya i would most likely go to planned parenthood and money isnt a huge problem i have some saved up, i know i have to get a check up wich makes me nervous because some of my friends say it hurts so much ! lol, and others say it doesnt hurt at all, do you know how much planned parenthood is for a check up ?
