    Implanon

Interested in getting this. It mentions that most women, if not all, will have unpredictable periods.. and breakthrough bleeding. I've also read this is the norm with IUDs...

Anyone on this that can give their opinion?
    Thanks in advance!

From what I know, Implanon, Depo and Mirena have the same type of synthetic progesterone in it. I used Depo and Mirena and both did not agree with me. I had bad side effects. Weight gain, hair loss, depression, irritability, memory loss, acne and no libido. I would just say make sure you do not have a problem with this type of hormone. I know there are quite a few women on here besides myself who have/had problems with the Mirena due to the hormone.

I have had mine for over two years and havent experienced any breakthrough bleeding.

My period has gone, however it did take two months of light spotting before it left. I have also noticed my other issues regarding Thrush before/after my cycle has disappeared.

I love it and can not wait to replace it.

        Good luck.
