Has anyone heard anything about Necon and weight gain? I went on Necon because it worked well for my sister, but then I started gaining weight. I thought it was my lifestyle or something, but I eat way less than I did when I was off birth control and I weigh 15 pounds more. My sister told me yesterday that her friend Mary's doctor put her on Necon specifically to make her *gain* weight. What have you guys heard?

I haven't heard anything about "Necon" but I know that with most birth control pills there is a risk of either losing or gaining weight.
Maybe the next time you see your doctor or pharmacist you could ask them.
What were you on before Necon? Is there a reason why you changed pills?

Necon

I have been on Necon for 4 months. I took my last pill Saturday, thank goodness! I hated it! I felt bloated, icky and fat! I gained a good 5 lbs, most of it water I'm sure. My breasts grew and my hips too! I switched to Yasmin , I tried this years ago and it worked great.
Every pill works different on every woman so it's hard to say if you will gain weight. It did nothing for my skin, moods or libido. I have a huge appetite I never had before . I exercise and eat okay so I know it's the pill. I also have a thyroid issue that is closely monitored so I figure it was worth to try the switch!

I have been on Necon for 4 months and have gained 15 pounds. I have read that Necon can cause depression and weight gain, I swear even my breasts grew bigger! I exercise, eat right ... don't cheat ... frustrating!

Necon is the WORST birth control ever!!! I did a search to see if any other girls have gained weight on this pill and found this thread...

I was on Necon for a year and gained 50lbs.. all while eating healthy and exercising.

DONT TRY NECON.
