Messed up pill.. could I be pregnant?!

Hello everyone, im a little nervous I might be pregnant from starting a new bc. I went to pick up my refill on feb 28th in which the pharmacist said it has been recalled and gave me a new pill. The pharmacist suggested to wait seven days before starting it and seven days of consistent use before engaging in unprotected sex. However I started the pill two days later rather than 7 and had unprotected sex the 28th, 1st and 2nd. We used the withdrawal method from the 4th-10th but i missed my pills the 14th-16th having unprotected sex those days. On the 17th I had breakthrough bleeding and it is still continuing. I also engaged in unprotected sex the 18th and 19th. I have also been experiencing lower back pains, lower abdominal cramping, and fatigue. Could I be pregnant and still experience breakthrough bleeding? Could I have ovulated between the three days I missed? Any knowledge or experience will be appreciated! Thank you!

Any time you have sex, pregnancy is possible. Nobody on the web will have these answers for you. It's possible that you ovulated. It's possible that you didn't. If your period is late, take a test.

Also, realize that the change in hormones may cause your periods to change, for a few months.

    Good luck.

Yeah, you really messed up your situation there gal. Birth control isn't something to play around with. They ARE hormones you're putting in your body and even at best throw your hormones for a loop. Then, if you mess around and don't take what you're supposed to when you're supposed to, you're wreaking havoc on your hormones.

Sure, you COULD be pregnant. You could have ovulated in those days you missed. I'm guessing you're suffering the consequences of putting your hormones on a rollercoaster. I would say while it isn't likely that you're pregnant, it's certainly possible. Rule it out with a test.

Thank you for the responses but should I expect my period March 26th or would the breakthrough bleeding be considered my “period?”
