I'm 18 years old and have been taking Yaz regularly since last November. I have noticed I have been extremely moody, anxious, and suffer from severe anxiety attacks (my PMS was never this bad). I also developed a breast lump that turned out to be non-cancerous due to the change of hormones in my body. All this combined with the fact that my insurance doesn't cover it caused me to contact my gyno. She switched my prescription to loestrin 1/20 and I'm suppose to start it next month. Not knowing anything about it I researched it and found terrible reviews, as well as it causing acne (I was prescribed Yaz because I had acne and it actually helped). Anyways I was just wondering if anyone is taking or has taken loestrin 1/20 and what their experience was with it. I also would like to know some alternative birth control pills such as Kariva and your experiences with them.

I have also experienced similar symptoms with yaz, and am switching to microgestin 1/20 the generic of loestrin 1/20, and I start it in 2 days. I was wondering what was your experience on this pill, especially switching from yaz. Thank you .

I dont know about loestrin 1/20, but i take ortho tri cyclin lo and i also read terrible reviews about it on the net....i've been on it for a month and so far my only symptom is bigger cup size! just be calm and see how your body takes to it- i think everyone reacts differently to each different kind.
