I feel the same way! Im tired of shaving every morning...Im afraid to live in the dorm rooms once I attend college in the fall because of this problem! It grows on my..cheeks and chin! I am tired of crying...but I just dont know what else to do. I now have terrible spots on my face from the hair and it just looks terrible...I feel beautiful when I look straight forward..but if I lift my head or turn to the side...I see nothing but a beard..Im irritated...and wondering why this is happening to me. I need some advice on what to do...I want it gone forever...! Also is there a way to get rid of brown discoloration spots on my face?

      Hi,
I understand, as do many here, I think, about the fears and upsetting symptoms and results of the facial hair. The scarring makes it worse, really.

I could actually DEAL with hairs and cover it up daily, but the act of removal (plucking, creams, bleach, shaving, etc) causes the scarring or irritation, which leaves it's mark....A dermatologist I recently saw (rather unhelpful) did say that plucking was irritating to the skin, and prescribed a long-term anitbiotic. I choose the cream instead. I will start that soon. But that is merely masking the cause of the symptom. I will religiously try the Vaniqua cream. I also think---- but don;t ask me yet, I have been depressed about this and have NOT started to take my own advice--if I really watch water intake (more), exercise (daily evein if tired), and limit alcohol---(which is my vice) I may find my body does not react with this on my face. I also think I have an OCD and pull at my eyelashes unconciously. Does anyone else? Maybe my body is reacting to this by giving hair in the wrong places? Or is this wishful thinking?.......
my mom even notices the scarring and comments....awful when in previous years, your mom always said how great your skin was....

Try a scar-reducing cream from your local co-op or health store.
I do eat only organic, local, and have ALWAYS been a great exerciser, so it's NOT the hormones in food in my case. Maybe environmental stresses and chemicals that could be the case? I know I was exposed to some and it seems the "facial hair condition" has exploded since then. Hmmm.

In recent years I have been sporatic with exercise but I am not overweight. And I have likely increased wine intake at dinner (to relieve stress, which of course, alcohol only masks). And not gotten enough sleep (i think I need 8-9 hours to feel rested).
If ANYONE else has similar coinicidental issues, let me know!
      This seems like detective work.

hi to everyone on here. guess we are all here for this same embarrassing reason but nice to have somewhere to vent ! have had this facial hair problem for the last 2 years following a tumor that cropped up suddenly producing male hormones -nice surprise i know ! since it was removed all the problems started which was strange as they were supposed to disappear. i find it a daily struggle and the worst part ,even worse than dark chin hairs is the covering of long vellus hairs on my entire face. it looks hideous in the sunlight (or any light for that matter ) and i feel like a freak every time i leave my house. i am so embarrased by it that i hide away from my own kids and hate having their friends round should they notice and tease them about it. thats the last thing i want for them. i spend time wondering why im the only person that is like this but coming to this site makes me realise im not alone. its just you never see others with this on a regular basis. thanks for taking time to listen and this is a great site for support.

As I understand it, once hair folicles are activated (the high T problem, likely) they stay that way. I'd suggest electrolysis to permanently kill the folicle. Research providers in your area before starting the process, as, like with any profession, the skill of the practitioner is both important and variable.
          Good luck!

            Here ^_^

Forewarned is Forearmed...better have knowledge before buying stuff...check out some sites on hairwaxingsecrets that might help you... Shaving is not an option, it will just grow back...shaving? makes the skin dark(another problem, which needs another solution) ...

Good luck...im sure there's a solution for that..

I think its best to seek medical advise, (although I went many years without going to see my doctor, through embarrasement) I have suffered from facial hair growth for a long time, and its only got worse, and left me feeling depressed. Recentley I plucked up the courage to see my doctor, and he has subscribed me anti-depressants, as he thinks the underlying course is my self esteem, and has booked me in to see a hair removal specialist soon. I've tried a few old wives tales, 'lemon, sugar & water' was one, it certainly had no effect with my hair. Has anyoe tried any natural remedies that have worked for the? It would be iteresting to hear them.

                check this out!

my cousin just recently had unwanted hair laser treatment which according to her would burn the hair roots and though it is expensive it yields favorable results. the treatment goes in three treatments and after that unwanted hairs all gone. dermatologic surgeons could give this treatment.

I think laser treatment is the best long time solution. You can also get threading done for upper and lower lip and chin areas. That stays for around 7-10 days.

You really gone fast for facial treatment and now your skin become worse because of chemicals. Contact to your doctor rather then applying more chemicals.

Hey everyonje, regarding weight loss... I have PCOS and lost 3 stone in weight this year, to no avail though, no regulated periods and my hair is growing faster than it has.
This website makes me feel... Normal??? I've always felt so alone and it's comforting to know I'm not.
I'm going to ask my doctor about laser treatment as I can't go on like this for much longer, I have to shave twice a day and it's not great.
I always find myself wishing i had al apeca or something similiar. It's like a curse, it's horrible, it really is.
Really hope everybody that posts on this thread gets somewhere with it, and we can all hold our chins high .... xx
