Phewf, Right. Preparing myself to get my first bikini wax! I havn't booked it or anything yet but I'm definately gonna Shaving...ah...far too much effort and prickly-ness! Plus I'm terrified of performing an accidental circumcision



I'm pretty good with pain so I'm not worried about that...Just wondering about what actually goes on...Are there any formalities or is it brutal? No "Hi Im Grace, This is my V-Jay" more of "right love, drop your trousers and get on the table!"



I dont have to get on all fours or anything have I? And...last thing...Do the knickies stay on? I've got no problem with them off, I quite like my bits

Well, I believe you know the answer now, my dear, since you've done it by now.

I would just make a comparison/contrast between shaving and waxing.

Shaving and waxing both aim to remove hair on unwanted areas of the body. shaving can be done on your own. Waxing is possibly a DIY, but the precision, quality and "pain" would differ. I prefer it done by a professional.

Waxing gives you a smoother finish and longer growing period, while shaving does not. The pain in waxing is the hard part to deal with. But with good experienced esthecian, you would be able to handle the discomfort better. It also depends on your tolerance level regarding pain.

IMO, waxing is a great turn on for masochists! LOL!

This was my first waxing experience and it was done by a professional. It gave me quite a discomfort worthy to scream about everytime she ripped the waxing film. I bit my teeth firmly, but was surprised at how fast the pain went away. I did not take any pain reliever prior and after this unlike what other posters advised me to. But for a person who is highly sensitive of pain, it is good to take some acetamenophen or ibuprofen prior to waxing especially the naughty bits further down south.

Asking if I would do brazilian wax again? Definitely.


P.S.

If you are getting waxed down there, you'll of course be naked down there and you'll be asked to be on all fours if you want your hair butt waxed as well. Just an FYI.

I'm not a fan of waxing because it tears skin as well as hair off of you, and done by the wrong person can really damage you.
