Laser treatment can be pretty expensive, have you tried facial hair bleaching?
I use it because I've got dark hair and it makes the hair far less noticable. I've never waxed on my face because I have a fear that it would grow back darker and thicker, so I just use bleach. You can do it at home yourself and only takes 10-15 mins.

I will give the natural solution a try, thanks. I have tried facial bleaching years ago, but i have sensitive skin and it had a bad effect. and i would jump at laser treatment but its so expensive.

I have a few small cysts on my ovaries, but my recent trip to the docs they wouldnt send me for another scan because the only problems i was having at the moment were the facial hair and on other areas of my body, and the thinning of the hair on my head, so because of this they wouldnt and will only refer me to the dermatologist, so its a waiting game now, and apparently it can take ages to wait for the referal!

Yeah it can be really expensive

I'm sure the wait will be worth it though You will come through this, and remember to keep your head held high, not down at the ground.
Make sure and keep us updated.

Who said we couldn't have facial hair afterall? I mean who made the rule that only guys get to have pot bellies and beards?? NOT FAIR.

sounds like signs of PCOS. It can be diagnosed with a blood test known as GTT (Glucose tolerance test) with Insulin levels at 0, 1, 2 hrs. Its a 2 hr test. Most doctors will only do a fasting blood glucose test will not diagnose pcos. Insist on seeing a Gynocologist... they will be able to help. There are tablets that can help control the hormones.
              Hope this helps.

                home remedies for scars

I've had pcos since i was 17 and i'm now 33. I started getting hair on my chin around 5 years ago and its just worse over time.
I sit and pluck for hours on end with one of those pointy tweezers so i can get to the really little ones, this has left me with such bad scarring.
I cant afford to get laser treatment etc and that really is the only way to stop more hair growing, the only thing we can do is ease the symptoms.
So after searching the net for hours i've found home remedies to reduce the scars (which is what depresses me the most).
WOWWWW! 2 days and it's made such a difference, especially to the raised bumps where i know there a hair some where underneath but cant see it, so pick and pick and pick at it slowly hoping to see a black dot appear so i can catch it in the tweezers and yank it out.
I've been making a scrub with honey, lemon, sugar and baking soda. Those little red dots where new hairs are coming out and the raised bumps....well they feel so much smoother, and the itching and stinging pain has eased.
So i was my face with my normal face wash, then use the scrub, gently massage for about a minute, rinse off, the use rose water, dab it onto a cotton ball and put it onto your face, you dont need to wipe it off, just let it dry for 10sec, then mix a teaspoon of sweet almond oil and lemon juice and apply it to scars with a q-tip.
i am the most laziest person when it comes to looking after my skin, i hardly bother washing my face at night when i have makeup on, i just wait til the morning
But i've been doing this for the last 2 nights and the difference is just toooooo amazing to stop.
Please just try it once and believe me you wont be able to wait to do it the next night just to feel your face baby smooth. I can see the scars have lightened in just 2 days.
Ok so now thinning hair, well because of the pcos thinning hair is another horrible side effect i suffer from, well not thinning hair, just hair loss all thanks to this.........Almond oil again is so great for this, massage it into the scalp over night and wash out in the morning, do not wash your hair more than 3 times a week, and DO NOT use conditioner on the roots.
Vitamin D and E, these will also make a huge difference (you notice the difference after about 3-4 weeks), also see if your doc will prescribe you Metformin.
Hope you'll give this a try, because i really do think it will make a noticeable difference.

bleach is great for other parts of the face, but usually the hair on your chin is thick and course and bleach won't work on it.
The only way to completely get rid of them is laser or losing weight till hormonal problems have totally gone.

oohhh and try threading instead of tweezing, what I've been doing is threading the longer hairs and tweezing the small ones that wont come out
( i do now wait a day or two to let them grow).
The scrub helps them to come out.

I started seeing facial hair and my hair starting to go thin on top.As time went by and has i was over weight was told i was diabetic and was told i wasnt making enough of the female hormone.A scan then showed cysts on both my ovaries but my bmi must be lower for an opperation such has hysterectomy.I was once given a tablet called Diannete but could not take it any longer because of my age, weight and i smoke. The more you wax the softer and finer it gets and i have noticed that.Vaniqua is ok for me but i dont use it anymore. Are you gaining weight or finding it hard to loose weight. BMI body mass index you can check yours on the internet, just type in your weight and hight it will tell you what your weight should be for your hight and how much you should loose.

one of the girls with facial hair problem, had cysts on her ovaries, she also had hair in other locations, like between the breasts, and she gets her period like once every 2-3 months, her doctor told her that she has nothing to worry about.
so it could be just you cysts... i wouldve checked with another doctor if i were you, go see a gynecologist

What you just described there is without a doubt PCOS. If I was her, I would get a second opinion.
