    Shaving Problem

Ok I shave down there and sometimes get ingrown hairs every now and then. I want to get waxed...but I'm afraid it will reeaaallllly hurt haha. I heard there is a cream or lotion they put on you after you get waxed to reduce bumps and ingrown hair. Does anyone know what it is called?

I dont know what its called but i hav t same problem.im also considering waxing but the thought of letting it grow and the pain puts me off a lil.im sure if you went to a proper place they would explain all about it..with that advice i think i might do so myself.

Ugh ingrowns are such a pain! I have a few solutions though. My friend once tried soaking her legs in asprin and water after shaving which seemed to get rid of the little red dots pretty well. I use an astringent after shaving though which helps to prevent ingrowns by sealing off the cuticle or something. You use it after shaving and then everyday after your bath or shower when the folicle is open. You can buy specialised lotions from chemists etc. but i guess you could use your toner or something too! I like to moisturise afterwards too incase I'm overdrying my skin!

But I would deffinately recommend waxing.
It will probably be red and dotty for a day but it's soooo much better!

I have waxed down there and as you can imagine it is not particularlly pleasant. Its not the worst pain either and it is relatively quick. I still experienced ingrown hairs after waxing and decided to just use and electric razor instead, bringing the hair down to about 1/8th inch long. I bick around the lips but find this is just plain easier and no itching or irritation and it is smooth in the spots that count! Just my opinion.
