    Laser didnt work

    Hi,
what kind of experiences have people had with laser hair removal? I had it done on legs, underarms, bikini and chin.. I thought it was working really well - and now its all back .... Has anyone had any similar experiences and is it worth doing it again - it wasn't cheap either!

I had a very positive experience. In fact everyone I know who have had it done have been very happy with laser hair removal. Did you have regular treatments? I have only one or two very fine hairs grow back which don't worry me at all. It's the best thing I've done and wish I had done it years ago. I feel so confident now. I can confidently go swimming in a bikini and no there's no hair showing anywhere. Not that I was very hairy but I prefer no hair - personal preference. Maybe you should go back to the place you had your laser done and speak to them. It is a lot of money so you want it to work.

I've done it and a lot of the hair has grown back. But it wasn't a total failure. Lots of it is gone for good, or so it seems. Based on the difference it has made, I'm happy I've done it. The hair that is back is of much better "quality" than it used to be, like less coarse, much thinner and less of it.

It has a lot to do with your hormones, for instance. I have a lot of hormonal problems. When that gets a bit better, I'll try it again on the regions where it has grown back.

You have to do several treatments to see a difference.

      Hair sucks!

Laser hair removal, like other laser treatments, may take more than one, two or even 10 applications or treatment in order to be effective. Where did you have this done? If it was in a doctor's office, make an appointment to discuss realistically how many treatments and the price you will have to pay. If you are having this done at a commercial establishment - ask how many treatments and how much it will cost. Then you can compare the two of them. All laser machines are not equal. I would hazard a guess that the one in the doctor's office is much more effective.
That which we forget may as well never really happened.

I have PCOD so when I commenced treatment I was told that the hair growth would eventually resurface. Its been 6 years since I got laser hair removal for my chin, upper lips and underams. All these areas were hair free for over 2 years but after that I had to do maintenance hair removal every 3 months . I guess the result varies from person to person but if you have some underlying hormonal condition like me I'm afraid there isn't much you can do ..

Laser hair removal is effective in majority cases. Hair regrowth is nil or slow for 70% of them out there, but there are certain hormones that could change this result, which may not be effecting every person alike. I’ve underwent laser hair removal from Dr Kris Conrad of Toronto. The post hair removal experience was all good and hair regrowth cycle was immensely reduced. So I guess it completely depends on your body type.

This can be a complex thing therefore you should see a specialist - maybe could help you.
