    What's the "norm"?

I'm 18 and I've never really given much thought to this before, but what's in the realm of "normal" as far as hair down there goes... I've always shaved the bikini line and generally kept myself neat, but never gone completely hairless. Is that normal, or is a full shaving/waxing considered as regular as shaving legs or underarms? Any insight whatsoever would be great.

hey well whatever you want it to look like down there is the norm..... i have done the full shaving, no hair thing, i have let it grow out fully because it was hard for me to shave when i was big and preggers, but now i like it just trimmed close not shaved and also i do always keep my bikini line hair free. so i think it is just a matter of personal taste.... heck i had a girlfriend shave hers into a heart shape and dyed it with food coloring for valentines day!!!!! it was funny!!!!!!

I think anyway you feel best is norm, but I also think bikini line shaved is pretty much mandatory

Im a personal fan of the bikini line shaved enough so that you cant see any hair when wearing a thong that seems to be for me something that is pretty easy to keep up and looks good too

Like everyone else said there is no "norm" it's all about personal preference. Experiment and see what you like best.

I have a unique perspective, being a bisexual woman. I have the point of view of the person "going down on" a girl, as well as the girl who thinks shaving is a pain. I'm pretty conflicted myself on it.
Hair down there when you're going down on a girl is NOT attractive. Not because it "doesn't look good," since sometimes it does look better to have hair, but because it gets in your mouth, and generally doesn't taste good. (I have a form of OCD where I literally chew on my hair, so if I don't like it, I don't know who would.) HOWEVER, I have heard of porn where girls who have a lot of hair are preferred, so by all means ask your boyfriend if it's at all applicable.
My main issues with pubic hair as a woman who doesn't like to shave are cleanliness and zippers. If mine gets too long it pokes through my undies and can get into my zipper, and that is definitely the "big issue," but also I feel like my period is easier to clean up if I've got less hair.
So basically what I do is shave everything from my anus to my clitoris (for some reason the skin in that area isn't as sensitive as my mons pubis, which I find kind of strange.) I trim everywhere else, and maybe shave around the edges, but I get pretty bad shaving aftereffects anywhere north of my clitoris.
It's something you need to decide for yourself. Don't take my word for it; do what makes you feel comfortable. I am by no means "normal;" I just thought I'd give you sort of the "man's" point of view on it.
