Have you seen a doctor about hormones? I looked at your other posts and sometimes when a teenaged girl has issues with unusually-placed body hair and weight gain, it's because of a hormonal problem.

      Hey Alabama Girl,

I had both of those issues in high school...you're not alone!! About your lip, you have several options. In high school I bleached mine. You can buy Sally Hansen bleach for face at the grocery store for under 7 dollars, and you can do it at home. If your hair is thicker then maybe you should opt for waxing. That can be done at a spa/salon for under 10, depending on the salon. My spa charges 4 since I'm a member. It's no big deal, TONS of women have this problem. Sally Hansen also has a cream hair remover which you can try. It doesn't have the same results as waxing but, it's an alternative you can try. I've done them all and decided I like waxing the best.

I went through puberty early, so in high school I had woman curves unlike most of the other girls, so kids thought I was fat, when in reality I was a knock out and got hit on by the college kids all the time. You should take into consideration your height, age and weight, as well as your activity level. If you want to tell me the things I listed I can better explain what I mean. For now I will tell you that if your body is still changing, which I'm pretty sure it is, then you shouldn't worry about losing weight right now. You should focus on feeding your body healthy, nutrituos food. Your body will have grown 90% of the bone mass you'll carry with you until you die by the time you're 19. You're in a crucial point in your life. It's sooo important to treat your body well. If you do this now, you'll be looking and feeling great. Forget fast fixes to satisfy the now. Nothing worth having in life is easy. You must work for everything!

Let me know if you have questions for me! I'm more than happy to share my experiences to help!

doesn't waxing make it come back darker and thicker?

Waxing does the exact opposite. Since you're removing the entire hair, from root to end, the hair disappears until it regrows the bulb underneath the skin and then grows out of the skin. Older women who've been plucking their eyebrows for years usually don't have much maintenence to do anymore since after a while the hairs usually stop growing after being ripped out so many times.

The whole grows back thicker and darker thing is a total myth by the way...even for shaving. Not true!

I had the same problem, because of higher testosterone levels. I started taking birth control pills for the hormones, but the hair never really got lighter, so I pluck. It takes a bit of time, but I really like the results, and my boyfriend from the last 10 years has no idea I even have facial hair

Waxing is the best bet. I do it all the time and it takes longer to grow back.

Alabama girl I don't know if you are still checking this forum, but please don't worry about having facial hair and not having been on a date because you're worried about facial hair - first of all, looking back, the boys I dated in high school were um, not up to par exactly, and second of all, guys, at least good guys, the ones you hopefully will be dating, won't care anyways. Of the six or so guys I've been "close" to, none of them ever seemed to mind the hair. Mine is fine and light, but everywhere. I had a few electrolysis sessions in high school, but it didn't seem to help. I just cut it really close with facial hair scissors, and it helps enough.

The other day I was complaining about it to my roommate and she said she never even noticed I had any. I don't know if she was lying or not, but it was good to hear just the same. I'm a senior in college and just got offered a prestigous job. I have hair all OVER my face, and it has been that way since 6th grade. I am successful and have friends and attract men, so please, please don't get down on yourself!

                    Hey,
I use a great tool : its a spring that removes the hair from the roots. you don't need any battery and its not working on electricity. I take it with me everywhere, i love it.
                    good luck..
