I like that -- the bigotry of youth. I'll also add the entitlement of youth, too!

Sexuality comes in many different forms, and you never know what's going to be "erotic" until you see or try it -- even if at first it might not seem that way.

It also definitely depends on the experience and the person you are with -- what might be unatttractive or unappealing in one person, might feel totally different in another!

It's allowing ourselves to breathe, take it all in and not be instantly judgmental that allows us to see the unique beauty within everyone.

I’m the same way—shaving is just the easiest and quickest for me. I’ve tried waxing once or twice, but it felt like more hassle than it was worth. Plus, like you said, I rarely nick myself anymore, so it’s kind of become part of the routine!

And to insert a whole new perspective to this discussion, as we age, preferences change, or as life just evolves, the lack of time for self care is a factor. One thing I've struggled with recently is the time to take care of all these things. I suppose it's very similar to new moms, spending all their time caring for the babies and all that goes with that. I never had kids, but I'm at that time where I'm spending a lot of time caring for an ailing parent. I do 3 12 hour shifts, then I drive 2 hours each way and spend another 3 days helping to care for Mom. So, self care has become a matter of "what can I tolerate" more than a preference for myself.

I'm fortunate that my man doesn't have strong feelings one way or another, and at this point, just being in the same city is a big advantage. For me tho, I reach a point that I can't stand having pubes a certain length. I am struggling to make the time for all the things that have to be done, and self-care seems to come last on that list.

This may be an interesting discussion for those that are in a similar place, whether it's new moms, or caregivers that just have little time for self-care. What's acceptable vs what is an absolute deal-breaker could be a fun conversation to have.

So, I think we change and we begin to accept things out of necessity. My man says I'm anything but lazy, but I have a limited amount of resources and I have none left for myself lately, and even less, probably for him.

All that to say, if I could do as I please, I'd shave weekly, front to back or have it waxed every 6-8 weeks. I just prefer the smooth feel, I think it smells better and is so soft to touch. What I can tolerate is a couple weeks growth. lol

Oh, I can so relate to that. I start getting itchy after about 3 weeks of growth, but there are weeks when things are so busy that by the time I'm taking a shower or doing anything remotely related to self-care, I'm like... do I really have the energy for this?

          (The answer is usually "no.")

And then I'll put it off for another day or week, basically until it gets to the point where it's driving me crazy lol.
