PCOS and unwanted hair growth
Does anyone have any experience with PCOS and getting rid of unwanted facial hair? What started as one singular strand on my chin in my 20s has turned into more and its very annoying to keep up with. I've tried at home IPL, which has worked well every single place EXCEPT on the hair I'd like gone the most.

While I don't know too much about this, I saw some folks talking about this on the forum a while back:
I noticed blonde hairs on my chin and face when i was 13/14 and trimmed them down, and they've gradually got worse, ive been told im showing signs of pco but never been fully
Sounds like they were experiencing the exact same issues. -
BTW -- did you see that the renamed PCOS to PMOS?
Per online:
"Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) has been officially renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS). Announced following a global expert consensus published in The Lancet, this update replaces an outdated term that incorrectly implied the condition was solely an ovarian issue involving cysts. The new name highlights the full-body metabolic and hormonal nature of the syndrome."Comment

I had NO idea! But honestly, the new name makes so much more sense. I’ve always associated PCOS primarily with the reproductive side of things, so it’s interesting that even the name itself may have contributed to how little understood it was.
And any upgrade to our understanding of women’s health is a win in my book.Comment

Birdie_567 I just saw this today -- think it can help you and others that might be dealing with this. Some really promising research:
A small but growing body of research shows that GLP-1 drugs often used to treat obesity may also work for the hormonal disorder known as PMOS.
