    no period--again

    So it's happening again.

The last time I go tmy period was the middle of July. It's October.

I'm 16, I know teenagers are irregular, but THIS irregular?

I am not overweight, I'm roughly 5'7" and 125 pounds, so pretty average. I'm not on any diets, I eat a lot, I'm fairly active..so what's the deal?

I do NOT have sex, I am a technical virgin. I do, however, have a boyfriend, and he fingers me. But that doesn't matter, right?

Please help, I don't know what to do. My mom doesn't think it's logical to take me to the doctor because she won't put me on BC.

I really need the support. I'm going through a lot right now.

Stress can be a factor. How old were you when you started having your period? Have they always been irregular? Going to the doc isn't a bad idea, you should have regular check ups, she may at least be able to put your mind at ease and tell you what to expect.

Your boyfriend fingering you wouldn't do anything to your period. I am thinking that since you are a teenager, it's hormonal. When I was 16, my mom had me put on the pill because my periods were so painful and heavy. No offense to your mom, but how is it not logical to go to the doctor when you are clearly having issues with your period? Birth control doesn't automatically mean you're going to become promiscuous. Maybe have your doctor talk to your mom about how much birth control can help regulate you.

If your mom still refuses to take you to a doctor, seek out a clinic like Planned Parenthood. They can examine you and let you know what's going on. When I didn't have health insurance, I went there for all my yearly checkups and any issues that came up. I am not sure if the laws in your state require parental consent or not. Call them and ask. Tell them what's going on. It's your body, so you have the right to take care of it the way you want to.

Yes, I do believe stress is a big factor in this, since I've found out some very bad news in the past years-mainly in the last few months...
I was kind of late starting my period, I think it was the end of eighth grade, so 13 or early 14?
Yes, they have always been irregular. I have gone 3 months without having it before. When I do get them, they last 6-8 days, but aren't too heavy.

And yes, obviously hormones affect this as well. I know a lot of teens experience irregular periods, so I'm not alone.

I'm not sure why she won't take me to the doctor. She just claims it's okay for a teenager to be irregular (thats when I come in and say 3 months APART?) Then she''' say she's not going to put me on a pill because it could be 'dangerous' with all the hormones in it. And that theres really nothing that can be done to make me regular.
I was actually thinking about going to the planned parenthood here, but I am kind of afraid. Can I trust those people? If I don't need parental consent going there, how do I know it's safe?
My boyfriend(of a year and a half) said he'd go with me. He knows everything that goes on with me, and he's concerned as well.

Thank you all for helping me through this.
