It's not fun. Not to make you more nervous. haha, sorry.
Try to be relaxed, the more tense you are the harder it is to get through. The doctors are professionals and usually have very nice and caring nurse practitioners, so you are safe. It's just not a pleasant experience, least it never has been for me.

Sorry, I probably just made it worse. It's really not that bad. They will do a breast exam most likely, listen to your heart and lungs, weigh you. Then they have you lay back and they take a sample from your cervix to make sure the cells are normal. They'll poke around a bit to make sure your uterus is normal and everything is in the right place and that's about it.

I wrote a thread about my experience. It's probably on page three hundred and fourteen by now, but here's the link:

It's not fun, but like Sourpuss said, it's not that bad. It just is what it is.

It's a necessary thing. It really prevents cervical cancer b/c it's detected so early. It's not that bad. I don't think any of us look forward to it, but it must be done. You'll be ok.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
