Everything is getting worse- I'm so scared

    Hello again ladies.

Okay, you probably know how I am always irregular when it comes to my period. But now everything is getting worse...

So I had thought that early December I had gotten my period, because I had a small amount of bleeding for roughly three days. This was odd, because my periods are often heavy and last 5-9 days. The last time I had my period before this was July. So after my 'period' I was content because I thought it was over, yet a few days after I started to bleed again. This time it lasted for about a day. A week after that, I bled again for about two days. If you get the point, it's been happening almost weekly, and for short periods of time.

The blood itself looks odd to me, it's a bit brownish in color, and had a weird..consistency. It seems to be a little thicker, almost. And there have been small clots.
It usually shows up when I use the bathroom, it seems.

Now, a few days ago my 'downstairs' started hurting pretty bad. Burning, to say the least. It hurt to walk, and especially hurts to go to the bathroom.
Today I went to the bathroom, and I also started bleeding as well as hurting.

I FINALLY told my mom about this, and she thinks I have a UTI or something. She said she'd make an appointment with her gyno for me, but who knows when this will be. I am going to talk to the gyno 1 on 1 hopefully, without my mom there. It is terribly embarrasing to begin with, and me and my mom are unfortuantely not close. I also want to ask the gyno about talking my mom into putting me on birth control. My mom is completely against it at all costs-she does not trust me, and thinks it will mess with my hormones-but maybe if the doc says I really need it she will listen.

This is all very nerve-racking to me. I wish I could have some sort of answers. This has all gone on long enough.

If any of you kind ladies have any sort of advice for me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

All I can really say is that:

    A) You shouldn't have waited so long to tell your mother or anyone about this. I know, I used to be the same way when I was younger. It pays off to be open. What if it was very serious?

    B) If you don't know when your mother will make this appointment then either make it yourself (if you can) or sit her down and let her know how worried you are about it and hadn her the phone and wait until she does it.

    Good luck.

      hi there.
you can check out your local area for free clinics if you don't want your mom to go. i think you should get that checked out as soon as possible. UTI does make you bleed when you pee. but if you drink cranberry juice it might help with the urination. all i can say is go see a doctor ASAP!

      wish you luck chica
