    Ovarian Cyst

I had a cyst rupture a good few months ago, it was pretty bad. I was told that that was the only one. After that, my periods came regularly around the 15th of each month. I missed my period in December and now I have missed January. I thought maybe there was a chance I might be pregnant, my husband and I do want to start a family. But I also couldnt help but rule out the chance that maybe the cyst was not out of the question. I was, and now, am starting to worry about the chances of our dreams of having a baby fall short due to cysts. I have heard this can be a challenge for women to concieve. I have missed the past 2 months of my period and feel tired, slight cramping, constipation, fullness, out of breath easily, gas, a fizzy-like feeling in my stomach at night, and have an increase in discharge. I took a home pregnancy test the day before I expected my January period and it was negative. Maybe I tested early and incorrectly? I havent re-tested since then. I felt flu symptoms on Wednesday, but only ofr that one day. Today I kind of feel pms symptoms but no period. Should I wait? Could a cyst be back?

I know what your going through. I live with Ovarian cysts. Yes they do complicate getting pregnant, but not in every case. My best friend only has one ovary and it has cysts. She is like fertle mertle. Cysts are funny and have a mind of their own. I've been dealing with them for about 3 years. I didn't go to the hospital for them up until last year. They can come and go with your period. Some months you can get them and some months you don't. Some women never get rid of them and they continue to grow. In that case they remove them. With me, mine come and go.
I have yet to miss a period due to them, but my period is irregular. It moves it's way through the month. Like in Sept i got it on the 6th, Oct the 7th, Nov the 14th Dec the 13 and this month the 16th. I was told this is normal. Some birth control can help.
Cyst sypmtoms are almost like pregnancy symptoms. I used to constantly get my hopes up that I was pregnant and wasn't.
Anyways I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one out there. The best thing I can tell you is to try not to stress it. I used to stress it majorly and once I stoped stressing I got my period. I hope this helps you.

i have a 9 centimeter ovarian cyst and for 3 months it gave me the symptoms ofbeing pregnant. After being tested over and over for pregnancy I got a pelvic ultrasound and they found it. I have to have mine removed next month. I wish you luck in getting pregnant. I hope i will get to be someday. I am only 21.

What were your symptoms, I had a exploratory lap done in 2006, they said they found a follicular cyst on my right ovary. Ive been having alot of pain with my period and spotting after my period. I think it's gotten bigger.

For those of you who experience ovarian cysts frequently who have responded on this thread, how do you deal? I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and a miscarriage at the same time last March (not trying to conceive). After a costly examination and series of tests to rule out a tubal pregnancy due to the miscarriage which couldn't be seen on ultrasound but was enough to turn up on a home pregnancy test, I received no treatment, and so have resigned myself to over the counter meds for treatment of the additional cyst-like symptoms I have had off and on through the following months, with periodic testing when I feel that there are additional symptoms that might be another miscarriage.

But I am really struggling with self-image issues right now. The cyst symptoms just make me feel disgusting about myself.

Does anyone have any advice for how to cope with this, either emotionally or physically (the cysts do seem to cause me quite a bit of pain, at times).
