Anything changed? Meds, diet, exersize? Try alternating hot and cold in the shower.

Give yourself a breast exam; do they feel lumpy? Is it just at certain parts of your cycle or all the time? It could be a few things, but polycystic breast changes could be one of them. I have it, and I take BCPs to control it (as well as lay off caffeine and take Vitamin E supplements.) The latter two couldn't hurt much regardless of why they hurt, so maybe you can try them?

Have you tried laying down, relaxing and massaging them? That may sooth and increase blood flow.
To use a type of hydro therapy, get in the shower, and do thirteen cycles of hot as you can stand (don't scald yourself) then total cold. End with cold. This has all sorts of benefits, gets your immune system going, gets you breathing deeply (everytime you switch to cold and gasp- lol) increases blood flow and it calms the nerves. I got a neighbor with hives to do this and she said it helped far more than the meds.

The fact that is happens with your cycle indicates hormone changes. Get a copy of the Woman's Advantage Diet. It instructs you how to use diet to get those hormones working to your advantage.

Right before my period is when mine hurt the worst too. Really, feel for lumps. It's not just one, it feels like your breasts are filled with round packing peanuts (if you have what I have.) Hope cutting out caffeine and taking Vit E help. I don't remember if you take BCPs or not, but sadly for many "women's diseases," it's the only prescribable solution.
