hey ladies, I have been suffering from a UTI for the last two weeks I have been to the doctors and they have me on anti-biotics but I am curious if having a UTI can be an indicator of pregnancy..... I am sure that it sounds a little odd, but I am just curious.

A UTI can be a symptom of pregnancy - but as with all of these "pregnancy symptoms," it can also be a PMS symptom or an indicator of any kind of hormonal changes other than pregnancy, or it can be a bacterial infection completely unrelated to hormones. If you are experiencing other symptoms of pregnancy and/or are trying to conceive, then you should look into what would be an appropriate time to test and be tested ASAP so that you can begin prenatal care. Otherwise, just try to relax and wait this out, until you have some better indicators. PS - Do remember, if you are using the pill for birth control, that antibiotics will interfere with the effectiveness for as long as a full week after you have stopped taking the antibiotics.

Thanks ladies, I am just curious because this is the second round of anti-biotics that I have been on in the last month. I am just now wondering even more about the pregnancy thing because now I am getting this clear vaginal discharge which is not normal for me, but who knows. I will just have to see in about another week. Thanks again.

i get UTI's all the time!! and i mean all the time... my doctor never does anything about it i have been on anti-biotics nuemerous times... and it goes away for a while... but everytime i get close to my period i get one i just drink lots of water and have a long hot shower
