Women wet dreams 'v' watery discharge

    Hi all,

I've read some previous posts talk about watery discharge at least a week after their period. This usually means a watery discharge on underwear. My question is what's the difference between watery discharge and a wet dream for women? I know a woman passes liquid when she has a wet dream. But how does this differ from the normal watery discharge after the period? (For example, is there significantly more liquid in a wet dream?)

This has been bothering me BIG TIME so HELP ME!

    Change the question

Ok - so it seems no one has had both things happen to them. Can someone at least explain how a wet dream liquid looks/feels like? I know how a wet dream happens so I don't want details of dreams or anything!

HI mimijj, I have personally never experienced a "wet dream", I have had sexual dreams in which I have orgasmed... but never a wet dream. It is my understand that those are more common in adolesent boys as a way to alleviate built up semen being produced etc...

I have not heard of female wet dreams, maybe not understanding what you mean exactly.

There is lots of talk on this bored about female ejaculation, liquid produced when some women produce a strong orgasm .. not sure if you are talking about that.. or some combination of that during sleep.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.

          answer to original question

          hi there

the water discharge/fluid you get about a week after your period is most likely when you are ovulating. ie. when you are at your most fertile. Your body produces a thinner fluid like that to allow sperm to travel easier and fertilise the waiting egg. If you are taking birth control tablets do not worry, it is still quite normal to experience this fluid, it doesnt mean that you will get pregnant. HOwever if you are still worried or want clarification go and see your doctor.

As for the wet dream fluid, well this is quite simply the same as the lubrication you experience when you become aroused/turned on. Just because it happens in your sleep when no one has touched you does not mean that it is not normal or is an unusual thing to have. It is nothing to worry about and infact its a sign that your body is happy and healthy! I have an orgasm or arousal in my sleep every few months (if im lucky!!). Hope this helps

as for the amount of liquid in either a wet dream or during ovulation ,well this depends on the woman. Some produce more fluid than others. Some people dont even know when they are ovulating at all becuase they do not notice and difference in their discharge. Some people when aroused will become very moist whilst other will only have a little. Its all normal and remember that everyone is different.

              Just happened!

Funny that I just saw this. My husband has been away for work this past month and unfortunately our sex life has taken a hit. Yes phone sex and masturbation helps, but its still not the same thing.

I've been extremely horny this past week and if I didn't wake up last night to an orgasm and a fairly large wet spot, almost a puddle on the sheets. I am normally very lubricated, and on a few occassions, ejaculated. So yes, it is possible to have "wet dreams" and even more so if your accustomed to highetend lubrication and orgasms.

At first I was a little wierded out...but then really enjoyed the moment...rolled over to the other side of the bed and fell asleep in orgasm bliss.

              Cheers
