By the way, the change to the new pill hasn't cured me of the other symptoms I've been experiencing. Took two pregnancy tests on the 25th May and 5th June - both negative - though my period isn't normally due until the second week of each month. Help!

bleeding dark brown blood
On 7th may I started on loette birth control pills. On 15th May I had otherwise unprotected sex. On 20th may I started bleeding but it was much lighter than my normal period, and severely painful. It lasted for approx 3 days. Since then I've been experiencing nausea, upset stomach, back pains, intense hunger with little appetite and terrible fatigue. Saw my doctor on 4th June and he switched me to another pill called brevinor. On 6th June I started bleeding again, just over two weeks since the last bleed. This time it is very light (just need a panty liner each day) and a very dark brown colour. Anyone know what might be causing this?

This sounds like a case of your body not agreeing with what you're giving it....it sounds like you're spotting so you might need a stronger or weaker pill (might need to speak to your doctor about that) with the other side affects....did you tell your doctor about them? even that they havent stopped? -
Yeah, that's why he changed me to the brevinor pill. I've used that one before and had no problems with it. Even with the change I just seem to be getting more and more sick. It's possible the pill has nothing to do with what's wrong with me, but the doctor says both the pill and pregnancy are possibilities we have to rule out before we look for other causes. I'm so tired of being sick all the time - wish I knew what was wrong.Comment

yeah its hard to say what the cause is...try this: open up the information leaflet in your pill pack and see if it lists any side affects or known affects that can occur. I know that yaz (thats what im on) has a list of about 20 side affects...or check on the internet with the pill you're onComment
