no period for 3 months, not pregnant

i am getting a little worried. i have always been irregular, but for most of last year i was regularly getting my period about every month and a half. its now been almost three full months and i have not had a period. I've taken several pregnancy tests all negative, but still no period. i currently have no medical insurance so going to a doctor is my last resort. any possible answers or is the doctor the best bet?

The doc is best but I understand about no insurance. The information I am giving you might help but a DOC is the only one that can help if this is the problem(but it could be alot of things).I have something called PCOS(Polycystic ovary syndrome) . For a long time I was like you . I did not have a period. PCOS will do that to you. I have to watch what I eat(becasue high blood sugar can make it worse) and take BC. I have a period now and everything is fine for me. Just google PCOS and do some reading! When you do have the money go to a DOC. Not having a period is ok, untill you start having other symptoms. Like weight gain, abnormal hair loss or abnormal hair growth. This is just my story and some advice. Your story might be different, just do some research about PCOS. Alot of women have it.

It is very scary not knowing. I would trust my doc. They know what they are doing. If you think that you could be pregnant, then get a second opinion. If you are having problems getting pregnant then see a specialist, go to someone that knows what you are going thur. If you really want a baby then make sure you are seeing the right person. And a side note..... you can always look at adoption. I was adopted as a baby and it was great!!! Trust your body! Good Luck
