Brown discharge and I've never had my period before?
Help! I'm turning 15 in August and I've never had my period. All of a sudden two nights ago I noticed a little bit of brown in my panties but I knew I didn't like, myself. Then yesterday it came but a little more and thicker. It hasn't happened since then. I haven't really had pain. My lower abdomen does feel a bit full. So what does this all mean? Please help!

Hi there - that sounds almost exactly the same as what happen to me. It's all fine.
I'm an August baby too - in the summer before my 15th birthday, I think once school was out but I can't be sure, I had this kind of brown discharge and needed to wear a panty liner for a few days. I told my mum and she had had the same thing and said my period would probably start the following month. It did - I remember we were on holidays at my grandma's house (almost exactly 4 weeks after the brown discharge) and it started and was very light, but definitely red blood this time. It lasted about 3 days - I never noticed any discomfort in the early years of my period but I did have a little of that full or bloated feeling you describe.
So to me your experience sounds totally normal - I expect in about 3 or 4 weeks you'll either get a 'proper' period, or perhaps this same brown discharge again - perhaps the gap will be longer and your period may not start for another couple of months - but this is the start of your grown up cycles.
Congratulations and welcome to womanhood
