If its not comfortable then its not inserted right or this is what i have found when i have used them as for how often you change them i change mine every 4 hours but it depends how heavy you are period wise. -
I absolutely HATED tampons when I first got my periods. So I ended up avoiding water and bathing suits every time I got my period for like three maybe four years. My mom gave me this kind that she used and they hurt like heck when I tried to put them in and if and when I did get them in they hurt and I could feel them. So I gave up for a while, but then I had a boyfriend and he wanted to go swimming and I didn't want to tell him that I couldn't so I sucked it up and forced myself to use one. My mom bought me like playtex gentle glide or something which was different than the ones she used and they worked out really well. I couldn't feel it and it didnt hurt at all.
So after typing that long novel I guess my suggestion is that you try to find tampons that work for you, there are lots of different kinds so you have to find the ones that your comfortable with. You just have to relax and not get frustrated if it doesn't work right away (I did that =P)
Good Luck =)Comment
