    sUDDEN ONSET OF SYMPTOMS

I think this thread can go many places, but i will try here for now. I posted it under menstrual cycle, but i am unsure if it belongs there

i did some extra work in the gym today, and pushed myself further than normal. By the time i got home, i spotted blood and i have been cramping and feeling more pressure ever since. My cycle ended a week ago. The blood only appeared once but the pressure and pain is increasing.
    Has any experienced this

    Hi msfoxy...

It isn't unusual for us gals to push ourselves to the limit and cause an additional monthly cycle of a few days, not at all. I seems also that you may have strained some muscles besides...

Keep in mind that our cycle is not like throwing a timer switch each month that suddenly draws blood from our veins. When one cycle ends, a new blood supply begins to pool for our next cycle and when the pool is filled, out it comes...lol

So then...if the pain and flowing continue for a week to ten days with no signs of relief, then definitely see your GYN... Meanwhile, try to avoid further strain so that you may better notice an improvement or not...

I hope this is a quick resolve for you, but do be careful...

I would suggest not to push yourself to that level of intesity! You don't want to pull and hurt the muscles in your pelvic area. See a dr if this keeps up. The spotting thing can happen from this type of exertion. Same as rough sex can cause light spotting.
