Missed period & neg preg test
I have been regular since I started my menstrual cycle when I was 12, all of a sudden Im way past due. Last period was 11/7/06 & I have had 3 negative preg tests, 1 done at Dr's office. I dont understand. Im only 32, I cant possibly be starting into early menopause yet, can I? -
It's probably too early for menopaus. Most likely, you could be having an irregular cycle or experiencing a hormone fluctuation. It's common for women to miss a cycle or to start very late. Stress is known to cause all kinds of irregularities in a woman's cycle.
Give it some more time. If you miss another month, you may want to see the doctor to maybe get your hormone levels checked and see if there could be some other medical reason for the missed period. Perimenopause is something women get before menopause which can also cause missed periods. -
My periods are normally regular also, but the current one is later than ever before: if I were pg, I would be five weeks tomorrow. Perimenopause is likely the cause of my late period as I am age 51. However, I've had 25 to 31 day periods for the last 3 years, with average 27-day period, but now I'm on day 34 of period starting 14July08 with no bleeding and negative pg test. I'm wondering if this was my last period before menopause, as I've never had a period this long before.Comment
