    ? Morning after side effects?

I took the morning after pill in the beginning of July (thankful that it WAS avl but...) was sick, throwing up, miserable for atleast a month. I did get my period within a week but skipped it all together in August and have been naseated off and on, diareah, constipation, waking up with severe panic attacks and even experiencing them off and on throughout the days. I had sex again a few weeks ago (we did use a condom) but due to the anxeity and panic attacks I have been paranoid beyond normal that I'm pregnant; even though we used a condom. The panic attacks are making me sick and I know our bodies tend to follow our minds. I would take this pill ONLY as a last resort. I'm now bloated, sick and nauseated 70% of the day. My cycle and hormones have not adjusted at all... Wondering how long I will have to suffer with these side effcts?

      my plan b experience

I took the morning after pill about 8 months ago. Not long after taking the first pill did,i have severe dizziness and was extremely exhausted. The dizziness has,not gotten much better and I seem to have no energy.my period has also been a bit different ill spot for like a week before I actually get a period I have been to the doctors plenty times they can't find nothing wrong and when I mention the plan b situation but they tell me it can't have long term side effects but I think my dizziness is related to taking the plan b pill. Im not sure if it has something to do with hormones being wacked out after taking it but I had just had baby not even 2 months before taking the plan b so im thinking maybe my hormones were trying to get back to normal and I disrupted it by taking the pill. And I also gained a good amount of weight since.

        Hi,
I just recently decided to become sexually active. I was very nervous for my first period after,so much so that my boyfriend made me take "plan b" so I would stop worrying. About a week after taking it I began spotting, and then around the time of my period it was about three days late and it was much lighter than usual and colored unusually. Now I am experiencing bloating right before my next period but its about 5 days late. I don't think I am pregnant because I took three home pregnancy tests and they all said I wasn't. Is this normal?

I took the morning after pill more than a month ago (Postinor-1), and a day after that I experienced stomach pains and light dizziness, but according to the instruction list that was to be expected. Two weeks after taking the pill my period came, and it was really heavy, and it lasted for about six days (which is my usual). Now, three weeks after the first day of my last period, i'm experiencing severe dizziness and occasional nausea. I got worried, and went to buy several pregnancy tests, but they all came up negative (and i'm still considering buying some more just to be sure). I'm wondering if this is the morning after pill causing my hormones to go all out of whack? I'd appreciate any replies or insight into my situation, i've been worried sick!

exact same boat as you, any updates?

I made an account to respond to this thread. I took "next choice" around 5/3/11 a few days after my period. i started a VERY long period about a week after that (but no other symptoms). during that period, i had sex again (stupid) and the condom broke. I figured i was okay to not flash my body again with more hormones since the incident occurred during this fake period so i didnt take next choice again. (im concerned that what im about to explain is due to pregnancy and not the pill but i will find out in the next few days from ablood test if im pregnant....im probably not pregnant due to my lack of symptoms and numerous negative urine tests + negative vaginal ultrasound exam about 4 weeks after sex).

Anyway....ive had 2 periods since i took that pill that have occured about 28 days after the first day of that "fake" period. now these periods have been a little weird in the length and texture. They are more pink, with brown discharge. they are shorter. I still get cramps from them. right now im in the midst of the 2nd period and its not 100% normal and is as i described earlier. this will be my first day.

Normally, my periods are very red with a lot of very dark red chunks. now its just more pale.

I think that the next choice pill has messed up my cycle with that 12 day long period that i had in may. or it could be that im pregnant...-_-

So far the post-pill periods are timely but they dont even have the same smell, look, texture, and length. odd right?

there is not much information on the internet. everything is so vague and no one really knows anything which is very very frustrating.
I had sex a day after my period ended and took both Next Choice pills together because it was cutting close to my 72 hour window and my doc said it was okay. The only side effect I had right after was just that I became very emotional. 5 days later, I got the "fake period" that lasted about 4 days. It's been about ten days since I took the pills and my mood swings have been CRAZY. I asked my doctor about the period and that if that meant I wasn't pregnant and he said to wait a week after the "bleeding" and to take a pregnancy test to make sure because I haven't had a regular period since February of this year. Anxious, I took the test while I was still bleeding and it was negative..

So now I'm wondering, do you mind sharing what your blood test results were??

I think that meant providing you take Plan B, the day after, it will be effective in ensuring you are not pregnant.

                    What did your doctor say?

Hi! I took plan B after having unprotected sex on feb 15, took the pills on feb 17. I had a period a week later. But I've had painful spotting from march 12-april 2, it ranged from black to red to brown... then just in the past week (april 8- present) I've had yucky cramps just on my left side and I've been gaining weight??
I don't know what to do. I went to the doctor and I tested negative for yeast infection, uti, chalmydia etc.
