Matt, I'm not sure as I've never had it but she really does need to get checked out. I know you mentioned that you don't have insurance which is a real shame (and what irks me about certain resistance to health plans in this country) but it really could be anything and would be best to have this confirmed with some kind of health care professional.
We can offer advice and opinion only from our own experiences truthfully and that may or may not be the same for all cases.
