We have been together for 10 years, since high school, and to my knowledge, I have been her only sexual partner.
I was sexually active with another woman before we started dating, and, to my knowledge, I was her only sexual partner (ever). This other woman was my girlfriend from High School, but she had been away at college for a semester. The last time we had sex was December 1999, 3 months before my wife and I started dating.
I believe my wife when she tells me she has had no other partners, and I hope she believes me too. I am very concerned that we could have had this disease for 10 years. She says she has never been tested because we were monogomous.
I am very worried that we may not be able to have children because of damage to her filopian tubes as a result of PID. Although she has had NO symptoms of the disease, I am very concerned it could have been "silent PID".
I have already fought and overcome Testicular Cancer, and was thrilled when my sperm count came back after chemo. If my wife's reproductive system was damaged because I had sex with my ex-girlfriend in high school, I will be crushed. Is it possible she could have had silent PID and related damage for 10 years?
I feel like we have already been through so much, and now this.
