Yesterday I got my period and it is a week early and really heavy. It is usually pretty heavy for the first few days, but I can't tell if it's heavier than usual. My nipples/breasts have also been sore for a few days (again, this usually happens, but I am so paranoid right now that I can't tell if it's more than usual). I never would have even questioned pregnancy, but when I did a google search of "period a week early" I got a ton of links with people talking about implantation bleeding and whatnot. I am absolutely terrified. I plan on keeping my virginity for a long while and don't see how I could possibly be pregnant. I just need some reassuring....PLEASE help!!!!

Virgin-heavy period week early...scared!!!
Ok...I am on the verge of freaking out. First of all, I am a 20 year old, full-fledged virgin. However, recently my boyfriend and I have been messing around more than usual, but have never gotten to the point of having sex. As far as I know, he has not ejaculated on me at all.

If you know for a fact that he hasn't ejaculated anywhere near you then your okay.
Google can be our best friend, but also our worse enemy. You are not on birth control and you've had your periods now for a few years, our hormones change as we mature and at 20 your more mature than say, 16 yes? So it stands to reason that your periods are heavy (as your not on birth control which actually lightens the load) and you can have them earlier or later, it's nature.
You can play and have fun but he can't go near you sweet, without a condom..

thanks for the response! just for a little history, i have a thyroid problem so i take synthroid daily. also i first got my period around age 15 and only had it for about 6 months and then lost it for like 4 years because i was exercising heavily and playing sports and underweight annnd had this thyroid issue. and when my boyfriend and i mess around we do have our clothes on...so it would be like 1 in a million that precum or anything could get in my "sweet"...but i am still paranoid! my period seems like it usually does now...it's usual heavy the first two days and the blood isn't brown or anything. it's normal red...but last night there were some huge clots. if my period continues as usual for the five-ish days, do you think i am in the clear? i was under the impression that getting your period meant that you WEREN'T pregnant...that's why i am so freaked out right now thinking that someone could bleed...and still be preggo??Comment

Hun, if you have your clothes on when you mess about your fine.
If you are clotting, maybe you need birth control, it has nothing to do with virginity and you can tell your Doctor that, often we need it for that exact reason your stating, our periods get too heavy and clot.
I would say you are perfectly fine in the prego department, ....

Forget what you googled.... When your periods end, go to the Doctor and explain the clots and all that you've said here...
I think the googling freaked you out somewhat. Most bleeding and being pregnant is light, that's correct, not blood red and heavy with brown and clots.
Smile... and go and get yourself on that birth control so you can have balanced periods, lighter periods and no more fear on top of that and be happy.
