Hello! I was thankful to find this site. I'm wondering also why I do have brown discharge a week or 10 days after my period. Actually , the last time I visited my ob-gyne ( doctor ) she says... brown discharge occurs because of ovulation time.....I do hope that it is normal to every women experiencing this matter and give peace of mind after they read this column.

I experienced that when I was younger-
When you just get your period for the first time, it's common for your period to be irregular, and your ovulation time to be irregular for some months, or even a couple of years I think.
Ovulation time can also be affected by changing hormones, diet, exercise, weight loss/gain or stress. I really wouldn't worry about it.

But brown discharge is leftover blood from your most recent menstruel cycle. Otherwise known as old blood. Don't worry at all babe.
