    bad pain after sex

i'm curious to find out if i need to get checked out or something. Every so often my fiance and i will have sex and afterward i will have a severe pain in my lower abdomen. it feels like its around my ovaries but i'm not sure. it hurts really bad. sometimes its after we have rough sex and others its even after we have slow sex. it's happened over the past couple years. it use to happen a lot last year, but than stopped. now it's starting back up again just occasionally but it's really starting to worry me. the pain is very severe and my fiance is starting to get worried. does anyone know what this might be?

Does it happen when u masturbate and during both does it happen after u orgasim?
I have the same problem with it being at my ovaries but my doctor has yet to find out why. What kind of bc are you on? I've found i have to have a period or else my ovaries will swell and after i have a period the pain will stop for awhile unless i get on bc that stops the periods. I was on the Depo shot 3 years then decided i wanted to try something else, as soon as i got off it had a period the pain went away. I do not know why its doing this but you should see a specialist go to your doctor and get them to refer you. I've been trying to find out for 3 years...and im waiting to see a specialist now. Good luck!

no it just happens after we have sex at all. it's not all the time though just occasionally. and i'm on the pill. my obgyn suggested it for me. it seems to just happen randomly. sometimes right after my period sometimes way before. and ok thank you for the help. i'm just tryin to figure it out because it's getting worse and my fiance feels horrible because he thinks its his fault so i was tryin to see what it could be. but thank you

I have had the same problem. I had 2 doctors tell me it was all in my head. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis a year ago by another doctor. I had surgery and now sex is what is was before if not better. Ask your obgyn about it and get checked out. Good luck. I know it is painful.
