I really need your advice having lots of problem ater having a compelet hysterectomy

Hi my name is Jill I need advice and help I had a compelet hysterectomy done last August 3 2009 How long does it take to get your energy level back it going on five months now I only have my gallbladder and my appendix instead of loosing weight I'm gaining weight before my surgery I was 142 now I'm back up to 153. In the past week I'm been peeing like crazy I use a light day pantie liner. I have to change it several time a day and some time I don't even make it to the bath room. any feed back would be great my stomach does not and it does not burn or hurt when I pee. I only maybe get 2 or 4 hours of sleep a night. Any feed back would be greal. Thanks Jill

That's not normal and I think you should go for a check-up, problems like that should have been resolved by now, imo. My mother had a complete hysterectomy and was feeling like herself after a couple of months. But of course don't stress about it, and good luck!

      Hello

I had a hysterectomy last year also. Recovery depends on the kind of hysterectomy you had. I had the DaVinci hysterectomy and recovery is 3-4 weeks depending on what kind of job you do you may be able to go back sooner. I have not had any problem recuperating and haven't felt better in my life. That was the best birthday present I have ever given myself and I was the big 40. I would definitely go back to doctor and discuss the issues you are having. I am having some pain from scar tissue on the left side where the left ovary was. I had had three laparoscopies on that side and I think it is probably scar tissue. I am going to talk to my family medical doctor when I go in for my physical. You will definitely see a light at the end of the tunnel soon.
      Good Luck

When you have a complete hysterectomy it obviously brings on a sudden menopause and I know peeing more and light incontinence are frequent features of the menopause so perhaps some HRT is needed?
