Brown Discharge and then blood? Please help

Okay so I started to have this thick brown discharge on Saturday and it is still happening. And then today there was also red blood in it as well. I am on the pill but earlier this month I had taken the pill almost three hours late and then the next day I had sex without a condom. So originally I thought maybe I was possibly pregnant and it was just implantation bleeding lasting a little longer (because it wasn't very heavy, it was spotting). But now I am not sure. Usually today (Wednesday) is when I would expect my period. But if I am getting my period now, why the dishcarge for 4 days before? Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on? Could I possibly still be pregnant?

I think you probably just got your period a little early is all. If you're still worried, wait a few days and take a home test, just to make sure.

But I have never had this happen before? Like I have never had brown dishcharge for 4 days and THEN a period. Also the discharge started coming when I was still on the active pills, which hasn't happened before either.

Have you had any stress or lack of stress lately. Sleeping changed, exercise, diet, mdications, etc. The littlest thing can throw your period off it's natural cycle, even just once. I really doubt that you are pregnant since you're taking the pill and you are having your period.

Brown is blood, without much uterine lining. Have you even taken off a band-aid and seen the brown or black old blood? Same thing that happens before or after your period. It is normal.

Stop taking the active pills as soon as you see the discharge. Its just yopur body's way of saying "it's time to clean the system". If you keep taking the pill through the bleed through, I have been told by my doctor (because I take the pill consecutively to stop periods to try and control my endometriosis), that it has less of an effect in controlling your periods in the future. I agree with the brown is the blood. I have had the brown discharge for a week now and only light with no actual blood, so I have stopped the pill and am waiting for my body to realise and bleed through as it normally would.
