when i was younger i used to get really bad cramps all the time, but for whatever reason they havent been too bad for the past year or two.

i got my period last night though and took 3 aspirin, and didnt feel any cramps at all. then this morning i woke up at around 6am to horrible cramps. i took 3 more aspirin and was unable to sleep because my cramps were so bad and not going away at all so I finally got up at around 7:45.

i dont know what to do now... i cant remember the last time i had cramps this bad. i read that aspirin doesnt work as well as ibuprofen but im not sure if i can take that if i've already taken the aspirin.

is there anything else i could do that would relieve the pain quickly? i've been up for almost 2 hours now just sitting in my bed because i feel unable to do anything else. i also dont get why its so sudden, because i usually take aspirin for cramps and they are usually not this bad.

What kind of aspirin are you taking?

I take 4 Advil's, 2 Tylenol's and a heating pad is my best friend.

I'm not sure... but this morning i used a heating pad and ended up sleeping until 4pm. i woke up feeling a lot better and took 3 tylenol extra strength. now i feel fine, i just took 1 more (its 8pm) and im bringing a few more along to a party. i'm a little concerned because i'm most definitely going to be drinking at this party but hopefully that'll help the pain so i wont have to take tylenol on top of that.

i dont get why they were suddenly so bad all of a sudden. i havent changed any habits recently or anything so i cant think of what caused it. im just concerned cause i dont want to go through this all over again.
