It was such a blessing to find this site. I am new here and I hope I can be as helpful to you all as you seem with everyone else.
I am 34 yrs old, the mother of 2 boys ages 15 and 8.
I would not describe my period as normal but this recent situation has me baffled.
I bought a house in the summer. Well it was a stressful time. the move was quick and sudden and we really had to uproot our lives to make it happen. During the months of June-September I had the lightest period you could imagine. NO pain , no need for heavy pads and this for me was highly unusal since I am usually about 7 days and heavy.
I spoke with a nurse who told me with no other symptoms it could be related to the stress and if something was to change let them know.
well October I missed a period and then November it came back to being moderate in flow but lasting about 10 days .
December 13 I began my next period and I am still on my period now on Jan 3
the first week was light, almost just a few drops of blood and nothing more. and the next week was a little heavier with quite a few clots. It seemed to taper off a little but still I passed about a clot a day. Now today its been very heavy . Lots of clots lots of bleeding. Its like there is no end in sight.
I have a gyno appointment on the 26th of this month and they are aware of what is happening and only advised me to call if I begin passing large clots or soaking a pad an hour or any pain or fever.
I am TERRIBLY scared. I honestly fear the worst and I just cannot stop thinking about all the things that could be wrong. A lot of the nurses think the stress from my summer threw off my schedule or ovulation and its just regulating itself again but I am freaked out. Honestly the bleeding is the only symptom I have although since its been three weeks I can say I am a little more tired and drained. Has anyone ever been through something like this before?
I'm sick of wearing pads already!
I don't know if it's because I've missed my period for three months that's causing the heavy bleeding.
I hope it stops by the end of this month at least.
